Wonderful Dyson Canterbury Pilgrims at Petersfield Festival

It was a wonderful experience to see everyone enjoying Dyson's spectacular work and bringing it so vividly to life.

The Petersfield Festival Hall rang to the colourful representations of Chaucer's Canterbury Pilgrims as imagined in music by Sir George Dyson. The virtuoso Southern Pro Musica orchestra together with soloists Sofia Larsson, Nathan Vale and Ed Ballard joined the festival chorus all arrayed in colourful shirts for a magical and exciting musical evening. Dyson's music is so full of colour, drama, and deep emotional connection with the characters that it could hardly fail to move and amuse and different times. It's a work which should be more widely taken up again as it once was.
