Paul conducts BBC Singers in concert in London

Programme of Gerald Finzi and his teachers Ernest Farrar and Edward Bairstow at St. Giles Cripplegate, London on 2 February at 6pm.

In the BBC SIngers' series of concerts linking with the BBC Symphony Orchestra's evening concert Paul is conducting the BBC SIngers in a concert of music by Finzi, Farrar and Bairstow preparing the musical ground for Finzi's Cello Concerto being performed later in the evening.

A range of Finzi's choral music rarely heard will feature, including all of the seven Bridges Part Songs, 'Welcome Sweet and Sacred Feast', and 'White Flowering Days' written for the Queen's Coronation celebrations. Lo, the Full Final Sacrifice, Finzi's most popular and best-loved anthem will end the programme.
