Last Whitehall Choir concert this week

Paul's last concert with the Whitehall Choir is this Thursday

After 17 years Paul is stepping down from the conductorship of the Whitehall Choir. His last concert with them is this Thursday (6th July) at St. Peter's, Eaton Square, London at 7.30pm. It is a programme of British music including music by Britten, Elgar, Walton, Howells, Finzi and Paul himself. It is a poignant moment after a long relationship with the group. Central to his work with the choir has been the regular performances of major Handel works including Saul, Samson, Athalia, Israel in Egypt, Alexander's Feast, Jeptha and Judas Maccabaeus. This has been a wonderful journey which is continuing under the choir's new conductor, Joanna Tomlinson, who will perform Handel's Joshua in November.
